I am completely shocked that there is anyone who has stayed at this villa that found it disappointing! I just got back from two weeks at St. Helena and I have stayed in luxurious villas in both Barbados and Hawaii, and St. Helena is hands down, the best one yet. There were 17 of us staying, and from the minute you drive through the gates, you are in paradise. The house itself is just stunning! The decor is exquisite and very opulent! The bedrooms are stunning and the beds are so comfortable. The pool is just incredible with the diving board to keep the kids entertained. We loved the hot tub, as it was a great to relax in, in the evenings. The staff were so unbelievable!! I felt as tho we were in a 5+ star hotel. Everyone is there to wait on you hand and foot. The chef was exceptional!! The table was set with Wedgwood china and the exceptional meals were served restaurant style. There was no request that was denied, and not having to lift a finger was divine! The previous reviewer mentioned that the kitchen was locked at night. The kitchen is not really a place that the guests would go, as the staff are there to bring you anything you ask for, we did request that the kitchen remain unlocked in case we needed anything in the middle of the night......we didn't. There is a bar next to the pool that was stocked with drinks in the fridge there, as well as a pantry with snacks so there was no need to use the kitchen at all. The kitchen and laundry room, as well as the staff room were all on there own , only connected to the main house by a hallway. The cottage has a well appointed kitchen that you could potentially use if you so wished. We were more than happy to be waited on! You are not locked in!! The main living room is open concept and is an indoor outdoor room, so at night they close the little gates that serve as doors and lock them. We were shown where the key was in case we wanted to open them before the staff returned in the morning. There is no fire hazzard! There is also a security guard on duty all night long and any issues you may have could be addressed 24hrs a day! There is not one thing I could possible complain about with St. Helena and I am absolutely floored that anyone could find a single wrong with it. It was a magical vacation in a stunning villa set in paradise! I would more than recommend this property to everyone! A special thank you to all the staff that made our stay incredible!!
