Hunte's Gardens Barbados
Created by legendary horticulturist Anthony Hunte, Hunte's Gardens will please even the most keen gardeners and enthusiasts. The gardens occupy a sink-hole-like gully in the centre of Barbados' rain forest, these beautiful tropical gardens offer a picturesque and easy-to-walk path with many surprises.
If you're lucky, you'll meet the owner and creator in the gardens or around his extraordinary house which was converted from an old stable. Be sure to have your camera ready as you walk through what is considered the most beautiful garden in Barbados.
Refreshing drinks, fresh fruit juice and rum punch are on sale. Take the tour, or simply relax on a bench in the shade with your book. Hunte's Gardens are open 7 days a week - 'including Sundays' as the owner once famously quipped in a TV advert.
